Born in 1983 in Romania, Mihai Sava was fascinated by physical structures and the organization of spaces since childhood. After finishing high school, Mihai attended the courses of the University of Construction in Bucharest for 3 years, deciding then to focus on the field of architecture. This change came from the desire to implement his creative side, not just his technical knowledge.
After graduating from the Faculty of Architecture, Mihai worked in the field of bridge construction, as a designer and designer for several such structures, some with a special aesthetic, such as the pedestrian walkways in the city of Mamaia. In parallel, Mihai followed his passions working as a freelancer in the field of interior design and architecture and was the author of several residential and commercial/exhibition buildings.
Ever since the Faculty of Architecture, Mihai developed a passion for photography, especially architectural photography. For example, Mihai captures in his pictures what many viewers overlook regarding the volume of a building. Perspective, spatial perception and attention to details are important characteristics that are part of the compositional structure of Mihai’s photographs. Briefly described, Mihai’s photography combines the artistic element of the domain with the perception and vision of an architect.
In recent years, Mihai has been a constant presence at cultural-artistic events, photographing many openings and exhibitions of galleries and cultural institutions in Bucharest. Mihai has a special ability to observe and reproduce in his pictures component parts of a whole, which viewed individually can be as aesthetically relevant as the entire composition. By capturing and rendering these elements, Mihai proves an analytical ability in approaching architectural photography, giving it its own abstract character.
Currently, Mihai works as an architect, specifically designer and designer for exhibition and commercial spaces. He also works as a photographer for some of the most important architecture and interior design firms in Bucharest.
